Terms and Conditions

Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of this website. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this site is

Best in Enterprise Resilience is an independent information resource about enterprise resilience certification. We publish explanatory material about how such schemes work: the domains they assess, how assessments are structured, what evidence they call for, and how to read a certification mark.

What this site is not

We are not a certification body. We do not assess organisations, we do not award or revoke certifications, we do not issue marks, medallions or certificates, and we do not sell resilience software, consultancy or audit services. Nothing on this site constitutes an accreditation, an endorsement, or a statement that any organisation holds any certification.

No organisation named or depicted anywhere on this site should be understood to be certified by us, assessed by us, or affiliated with us. Any certification mark shown on these pages is illustrative and is used to explain how such marks are constructed and read.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any certification body, standards organisation, software vendor or professional association. Where third-party names, standards, frameworks, research or trademarks are referred to, they remain the property of their respective owners and are named for identification and comment only.

No professional advice

The material here is general information, not professional, legal, regulatory or risk-management advice, and it is not a substitute for it. Resilience decisions depend on an organisation’s own circumstances, obligations and risk appetite. You should take your own qualified advice before acting, and you remain responsible for any decision you take.

Accuracy and availability

We try to keep this material accurate and current, but standards, schemes and market practice change, and pages may become out of date. We make no warranty, express or implied, that the content is complete, accurate or fit for any particular purpose, and we do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption or error.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential, including loss of profit, business or data — arising from use of, or reliance on, anything published on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Third-party links and references

Where we refer to external standards, published research or other organisations, we do not control that material and are not responsible for its content. A reference is not an endorsement.

Intellectual property

The text and original graphics on this site are ours and may be quoted with attribution and a link. Please do not reproduce whole pages, and do not present our material in a way that suggests we have endorsed you or assessed your organisation.

Privacy

This site is a static publication. It does not run forms, does not ask for personal data, does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and does not share data with third parties. Standard web server logs may record requests for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies.
