Organizations are eligible for Best in Enterprise Resilience Certification after completing the Certification Assessment. The assessment evaluates organizations using the Enterprise Resilience Standards Framework which is based on 20 years of best practice insight in Critical Event Management.

Is the critical event management system in place fully configured? Are the organization’s core settings optimized for resilience? Does the critical event management system cover all people, technology, facilities, and operations?

Have the full set of necessary skills been identified? Are the right people provided with the training needed to be successful? Are those people properly accessible? What level of resilience maturity is being achieved?

Are key areas of the business covered by the critical event management system? Are the appropriate procedures and SLAs in place to maintain business continuity? How does resilience impact financial performance?

The panel works from evidence the organisation already produces, and the questions are deliberately concrete — not “do you have a plan” but “show me the last time you used it and what changed afterwards”.
The assessment examines an organization’s competencies across four categories and several dimensions, including:
The assessment includes an orientation workshop, interviews, a report readout, and improvement activities.
